It's true, this was a trip we took back at the end of March but as I was going through our pictures and doing some consolidating, I realized that we never got to this post. So, for the record...here it is.
Our friends the Goodmans were heading to the San Francisco area to visit Muir Woods and hang out with family. They invited us along and since it was just a day trip and we hadn't been before (plus we knew the family they were visiting from Thanksgiving Dinner...also with the Goodmans) we figured we would join along on the adventure.
Muir Woods is a National Monument of massive Redwoods. Here you can see the timeline of a Redwood:

Pretty amazing life span.
Here we have 3 leaf clovers which covered much of the ground.
No 4 leaf clovers that we could see.
Beautiful and vast!
There were hundreds of people there but amazingly enough, the woods are very peaceful and quiet.

The girls got to chat on the way back to the car while the boys hauled the chillins in the strollers.
Then we headed to Stinson Beach which was just miles from Muir Woods.
No swimming for us, however, it was fun to be on the beach and let Duncan run and play.
It's so great to have another person around to snap family pictures!
Charlie and I huddled most of the time since it was pretty windy.
Here's Bobby bringing Duncan back to the blanket. That little munchkin could have ran up and down that beach for a long time but alas it was time to go.
It was so nice to tag along with people who knew the ins and the outs of the area.
We enjoyed spending time with them and getting the chance to do some sight-seeing.
On the way back, Duncan had his first experience with car sickness.
Winding mountain roads + eating old strawberry feta salad =
