Good Ole' Book Barn. 

Words cannot express how much I love to get a book for a quarter or two.

Duncan loves when I come home with a bag full of 'new' books too!

Playing at Blue Diamond Park:

Bobby took Duncan in the bike trailer and Charlie and I met them there after nap time.

Getting Valentines cut out for our FHE activity.

It was great to have these family notes-of-love taped to the walls and cupboards of the kitchen where we could see them often.

Another park day:

Duncan was being silly and making this "excited face".

We celebrated Duncan turning 4!!

This was our picnic in the family room, complete with Dinosaur pb and jelly sandwiches.

(The original plan was to have a picnic at the airport and watch the airplanes take off and land but it was a super rainy day so we went with plan B).

Duncan got to stay in his pj's all day long, and play with his new gidgets and gadgets.

We also had some computer Super Nintendo time while Charlie napped.

We did our traditional birthday photo shoot...in the rain!

I promise these don't happen as often as they probably should. It sort of just fell together and we ran with it!

We had heart shaped food for breakfast, got a little something we "love", and had chocolate dipped strawberries and Ritz crackers for after-dinner-dessert!

Taking a family bike ride to check out and sign up for our local city rec. center.

We sometimes meet Bobby here after work, then the kids go to the "kid's place" to play and mom and dad get to workout, hangout, and talk together! We love that time since it's basically like we're on a date!

3 Leaf Clovers.

Sometimes I just can't resist a simple picture of nature.

We've had SO many ladybugs in our yard grass lately. 

They have made great reliable entertainment and observation for us!

Duncan enjoyed ten glorious minutes of jumping in puddles

before he got too cold and wet.

We are so grateful for the rain that we've been receiving as we are currently experiencing a drought and have had to cut our water usage by 20%.

 Favorite Charlie quotes:

1) Singing the letters "E,F,G" and  "Let it Go" from Frozen. 

2) And when we sing, "What does the fox say?", it's followed by him singing, "Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da"

(If you are unfamiliar with this phrase you best be looking it up. It's a pretty funny song - at least we think so.)

Favorite Duncan quote and such:

1)"Welcome to the belly!" 

Which is followed by an arched back and a big belly. Then he'll try to chase and get us with his belly leading the way.

We have no idea where this 'belly' phrase came from but Charlie has quickly picked up on it as well. We sometimes throw that phrase out randomly at the dinner table just to watch Charlie arch his back and stick out his belly to the best of his ability in the high chair. It's pretty entertaining to watch.
